APTIM Turnaround Field Engineer/Planner in Chicago, Illinois
The current open position is for a Field Engineer (FE) / Planner to assist with in-field planning and execution of refinery turnarounds across the United States.
Understand and comply with safety requirements, procedures, and expectations.
Knowledge of refinery systems, applications, and daily deliverables.
Ability to plan and schedule scopes of work.
Ability to track and report on work progress versus baseline schedule.
Review job packages and walk down assigned tasks with supervisors.
Assist with estimating as required.
Attend craft/FE turnover meetings. Communicate shift results and expectations for next shift.
Support craft work and provide technical support.
Address permit requirements including coordination for next shift.
Engage in refinery mobile technology initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Support regional projects; however, nationwide travel may be necessary depending on project requirements.
5+ years of FE/Planner experience for refinery turnarounds.
Ability to read and understand specifications, schematics, diagrams, and drawings.
Experience with Microsoft Office and 365 platform apps.
Engineering or Technical Degree preferred.
Skilled at effective communications including good interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with management, contractors and engineers.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize time/workload and delegate work to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
Must be able to travel up to 75%.
